This year's Island Design Center Women's Night Doubles kicked off Monday night, November 16, with the Player/Sponsor Party! Chef Dave Kaminski wowed us with his delicious seared salmon and fresh asparagus. We were deeply impressed with the generosity of our sponsors as we were able to raise $8,000 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation!!!! Thanks to all of you!! You are the best!

Today, Tuesday, November 17 we played the Pro/Am. It was a ton of fun. In the end, Mary Burris and Barbara Pinterova (UH) defeated Paul Tomar and Tiffany DeVincent in a dramatic play-off
tie-break! Congratulations to all the players and sponsors.

Wednesday, November 18 will be the first round of the 2009 Island Design Center Women's Night Doubles. With an expanded draw, the night will be a barn burner!!! We will have 5 matches at 6:00pm and 3 matches at 7:15pm!!! It will be a beautiful thing! Matches through the quarterfinals will be the best of three sets, regular scoring with a 10 point tie-break for the third set. For the semi-finals and finals it will be the best of three sets.
