"I've got to do more of these community tennis events. This is great." -Minh Le, three time Blue Moon Kailua Racquet Club Men's Night Doubles champion.

Minh Le and Wei-Yu Su volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Play Tennis! free Youth Clinic at the Spalding Clubhouse in Honolulu hours before they went on to win the playoffs of the Blue Moon Kailua Racquet Club Men's Night Doubles.

Tennis courts are not necessary for successful entry level play. Play was on portable scaled down courts with foam and low compression tennis balls and shortened as well as full size rackets.

"The tennis clinic was a success. We are making people aware that this is a place with people who care, and tennis is a great activity for all ages." -Dickson Wong, BGCH Spalding Clubhouse Athletics Director.

Local tennis maven and teaching pro, Leilani Magee led 20 volunteers and 65 children in the gym and outdoors on 19 youth size temporary tennis courts created from multi-purpose playground space.
